School Policies
Arrival Time:
Arrival for all A.M. classes is 8:15 a.m.
A student is considered tardy at 8:25 a.m.
Two-Hour Delay Schedule:
A.M. Preschool and PDO: 10:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
P.M. Preschool: 1:00 p.m.-3:15 p.m.
Elementary: 10:15 a.m.-3:15 p.m.
Listen to WOWO, WBCL or STAR 88.3 on the radio or watch channels
15, 21, 55 or 33 on TV for delay or cancellation information.
Drop-Off Line:
Drop-off for children is available in front of the school doors from
8:05 a.m. to 8:20 a.m. A teacher will help unload children from
vehicles and ensure they enter the building. Another aide will
be inside the building to ensure students get to their classroom.
For this reason, cones will be blocking the front parking spaces.
After school pick-up requires parents to enter the lobby.
Tuition and Fees Payment:
Non-refundable registration fees are due at the time of registration.
Tuition fees are due by each month as described in the FACTS contract,
a company which handles our tuition collection through automatic bank
account withdrawals. Prepayment of tuition for the full year is
accepted; no fees are assessed when this payment option is chosen.
Dress Code:
A dress code is in effect for the school day and for any
school-sponsored activity outside of school hours.
Elementary Dress Code (Monday through Thursday):
Shirts: Short or long sleeved Oxford or dress shirts/blouses in
any solid color or white
Short
or long sleeved polo shirts of turtlenecks
Our
Hope logo collared polo shirts or t-shirts
Boys
must have a collar on any short-sleeved shirt.
Girls
may wear collarless shirts; they should have a modest and appropriate
neckline.
Jumpers/Skirts/Skorts/Shorts/Pants/Slacks: These are acceptable
in any solid color. Dark blue jeans are also acceptable.
Length should be at least mid-thigh.
Sweaters/Sweater Vests/Sweatshirts: Cardigan, V-neck sweaters or
sweater vests may be worn. Shirts, as specified above, should be
worn underneath sweaters or sweater vests. Sweatshirts that have
the Our Hope logo or are a solid color are also acceptable.
Preschool Dress Code and Elementary Fridays:
Tops, blouses, shirts and dresses must have sleeves. If a shirt
is worn over a sleeveless top then at least one button on the shirt
must be buttoned.
Blouse or sweater necklines need to
be suitably modest.
Stomachs must not be visible when the student's arms are raised
straight up above the student's head.
Sunday best clothes are not
suitable for the regular school day.
Pants that fall down or which drag on the ground should be belted so
that they stay up. Otherwise, they should be avoided.
Shorts and skirts are to be at
least as long as the fingertips when arms are held at the side.
Caps, hats, coats, snow boots and
any other outdoor apparel are not to be worn in the building.
Snap pants should not be worn.
Clothes that are ripped, torn or
frayed due to excessive wear should not be worn.
Footwear:
Non-marking soled shoes are required. Sandals are not permitted
due to school and playground safety reasons. An extra pair of
non-marking soled shoes may be left at school.
